In smartphones and Tv, we can see many types of resolution in it like HD, FHD, Ultra HD, Quad HD, 2K, 4K. Many people get confused here on these types of resolution and in this what are the differences? So in this blog, we are going to know that  –

So before anything let’s have a look into Pixels and Resolution in short.

 

Pixels In the screen there are some tiny squares of 1/1 which is known as Pixels. In-display there are so many pixels which mean there are so many squares that make a display. Pixels are the reason by which Images and Videos get displayed in Display.

So now let’s know what is resolution?

Resolution – In screen, the total amount of pixels defines its resolution. The maximum number of Pixels on the screen makes it of high resolution and the quality of the screen will be good.

 

So first have a look at the SD display 

 

SD – The full-form of SD is Standard Definition. In the SD quality display, the resolution is of 640p x 480p. This means on-screen there are 640 pixels present in horizontally and 480 pixels vertically. SD display is also known as 480 Pixels Display.  CRT TVs of past times are of SD quality and they were also available in low quality than SD.

 

HD – The full-form of HD is Higher Definition. The HD display is better than the SD display. In the HD display quality display, the resolution is of 1280p x 720p. This means on-screen there are 720 pixels available horizontally and 1280 pixels vertically. Which means there are 1 million (approximately) Pixels on the screen.

HD display is also known as 720 Pixels display. In HD display HD TV is one of the types of device which is available in stores of India. Its resolution is also of 1280p x 720p. HD ready TV means it can display images and videos of 720 pixels but in this HD tuner is not available. Which means it can’t receive HD signals. This TV can’t show you images and videos of resolution above 720 pixels.

 

HD+ HD+ display is better than an HD display. In the quality display, the resolution is 1600p x 900p. This means on-screen there are 900 pixels available horizontally and 1600 pixels vertically. Which means there are 1.5 million (approximately) Pixels on the screen. HD+ display is also known as 720 Pixels display. The number of Pixels is directly proportional to the sharpness and quality of images.

Full HD – Full HD display is better than HD+. In the quality display, the resolution is 1920p x 1080p. This means on-screen there are 1080 pixels available horizontally and 1920 pixels vertically. Which means there are 2 million (approximately) Pixels on the screen. HD+ display is also known as 1080 Pixels display.

 

Full HD+ – Full HD+ is better than Full HD. It contains more pixels than Full HD display. and it also has more resolution than Full HD.

 

2K – 2K display is better than Full HD display. In the quality display, the resolution is 2048p x 1440p. This means on-screen there are 1440 pixels available horizontally and 2048 pixels vertically. There is less smartphone available on this display. 2K display contains around 3 million (approximately) Pixels on the screen. Here the meaning of K is K = 1 Thousand, So 2K means 2 Thousand. It is known as 2K because it is having 2048 Pixels which is above 2 Thousand.

 

QHDThe full-form of QHD is Quad HD. It is known as Quad HD because it is having 4 times better than HD ( 4 x HD ). In the quality display, the resolution is 2560p x 1440p. This means on-screen there are 2560 pixels available horizontally and 1440 pixels vertically. Which means there are 3.5 million (approximately) Pixels on the screen. QHD display is better than Full HD or 2k. It displays a more sharp and clear image. This display is available inexpensive TV and monitors etc. Quad HD display is also known as 1440 Pixels display.

 

UHD – The full-form of UHD is Ultra HD. It is also known as 4K. In the quality display, the resolution is 3840p x 2160p. This means on-screen there are 3840 pixels available horizontally and 2160 pixels vertically. Which means there are 8 million (approximately) Pixels on the screen. By this, we can know how much the image will be sharp and clear. This display is also available only in expensive TV’s. Here the meaning of K is K = 1 Thousand, So 4K means 4 Thousand. It is known as 4K because it is having almost 4K pixels horizontally in it. It is also known as 2160 Pixels Display.

 

True 4KIn the quality display, the resolution is 4096p x 2160p. This means on-screen there are 4096 pixels available horizontally and 2160 pixels vertically. It is known as 4K because it is having pixels above 4K Pixels in it.

 

8K –  It is also known as an 8K ultra HD display. In the quality display, the resolution is 7680p x 4320p. This means on-screen there are 7680 pixels available horizontally and 4320 pixels vertically. Which means there are 3 Cr+ (approximately) Pixels on the screen.
